David at Laid Back bikes is highly knowledgable and supremely helpful. He will customise your bike to particular requests (where mechanically possible). He stocks a wide range of demos and can access many recumbents (and other practical bikes) from a variety of manufacturers. I have bought a number of bikes from David and he is very fair in all dealings. The link with the mechanics at The Bicycle Works is excellent - I use them for servicing and David utilises their expertises in building up bikes and sorting out any mechanical issues.

The shop is set in the heart of the town and run by a chap called John McKay. He carries a good range of spares and a stock of new and second hand bikes. Always very helpful when you pop in for advice, repairs and or assistance.

Friendly local expertise. I have popped in a couple of times rather than driving to Perth or Dunfermline to Halfords (where you have to book a week in advance to get a service) and the problems have been resolved on the spot. I agree with Zarbio, just what we need in the area.

the new shop is a huge step up from the last one. Now a bigger selection of bikes and much more display space. same expert friendly advice as before with some helpful late opening for people with busy jobs.

Thanks for a great job on my bike ! Excellent service, my bike a Kona Dr Dew was picked up by Ky the mechanic at pedal power and serviced and returned to me same day, whats more it was 1/2 the price I'd paid previously in the un-named St Andrews bike shop.Making it excellent value for money & an all round very pleasent experience. Highly reccomended
